Quality
Almost everything an organization does involves a process. By creating improvement goals for every process, an organization can re-examine the way work is done. This is accomplished using two methodologies: Lean and Six Sigma.
Lean is a compilation of world-class practices designed to eliminate all waste or non-value-added activities from a process. Lean is not meant to eliminate people, but to use the people wisely. Lean tools are used to:
- Identify and eliminate waste quickly and efficiently
- Increase communication at all levels of the organization
- Reduce costs, improve quality and delivery in a safe environment
- Begin improvements immediately and empower workers to make improvements themselves
Six Sigma is a quality methodology that focuses on reducing the variation in your processes and eliminating defects. Reducing the chances for variation improves a process, to achieve greater customer satisfaction and employee pride.
Lean and Six Sigma are tools to recognize problems and work toward solutions. They are not, however, the only way. Once we have identified a problem, there are many tools that businesses can apply. Tools exist that help gather information, expand thinking, and organize the information available.
Working with Professional Dynamics’ Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt, your organization receives guidance and training in using these proven tools and methods. Your corporate Champion and Lean/Six Sigma project team benefits from our coaching and training. We also provide the support and expertise necessary for optimal implementations.
